Model 2 Machine Group welcomed Senator Ron Johnson from Wisconsin and his team to M2M Machining, Inc. location in Mukwonago, WI on Friday, June 24, 2016. Steen Coleman, Chief Financial Officer for Model 2 Machine Group, and Steve Brahm, General Manager of M2M Machining, Inc., lead Senator Johnson on a facility tour followed by an all-employee Q&A meeting. The Senator discussed the critical role that manufacturers like M2M plays in providing opportunities for good paying jobs and the positive impact this has on the local, state and US economies. Senator Johnson acknowledged M2M Machining, Inc. for the growth and innovation that lead to the expansion of its Wisconsin operations in July 2015.
M2M Group is proud to have had a presence at this year’s Farnborough International Airshow, a week-long event that combined a major trade exhibition for the aerospace and defense industries with a public airshow. The event was held in the 2nd week of July at Farnborough Airport in Hampshire, England. Aircraft manufacturers came to announce big orders while a constellation of firms, covering every single aspect of the aviation industry's value chain, showcased their latest technologies. The last edition of the show saw an estimated $200 billion-plus worth of business deals signed, of which some $152 billion were new aircraft orders.
M2M Group participated in this year’s event competing for military, commercial and space business in Europe and around the world, exhibiting our DMLS competencies, F35 engine mock-up as well as wide range of technologies and services to buyers and influencers in attendance. The biennial event, the biggest and most diversified global aerospace business gathering of the year, drew some 100,000 trade visitors and 1,500 exhibitors from more than 40 countries. Chief among them, the United States presented 360-plus exhibitors, nearly one-quarter of the show's total, and the largest international contingent outside of the U.K.
